Austrian or Swedish version of neutral state in Ukraine under discussion, Kremlin says

An Austrian or Swedish version of a demilitarized state in Ukraine is currently being discussed and can be seen as a compromise, Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists, AzVision.az reports citing TASS.

Earlier, Russia's Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky noted that Kyiv at the talks proposed to create an Austrian or Swedish version of a demilitarized state in Ukraine. In this regard, journalists asked if the Kremlin was satisfied with this option of demilitarization.

"This option is under discussion now and can be regarded as a certain compromise," Peskov replied.

The situation around Ukraine can be improved by reaching agreements at the negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations, he added.
