  Azerbaijan, Italy discuss increasing gas supplies via TAP

Azerbaijan has invested $1.7 billion in Italy, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference following a meeting with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, AzVision.az reports. 

The minister noted that Azerbaijan and Italy are strengthening economic cooperation. Trade turnover in 2021 amounted to about $10 billion.

In 2021, Azerbaijan supplied about 7 billion cubic meters of gas to Italy through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP).

During today's meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Italy, the issue of increasing gas supplies from Azerbaijan through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) was also discussed.

In addition, Minister Bayramov informed his Italian counterpart about projects in the field of alternative energy, which will be implemented in the liberated territories.
