On April 8, 2022, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, AzVision.az reports citing the press service of Azerbaijani MFA.
The Ministers exchanged views on the current situation in the region, including the implementation of trilateral statements.
The sides discussed the issues related to normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including the recent high-level meeting in Brussels.
During the telephone conversation, they also discussed the situation in and around Ukraine, cooperation on multilateral platforms and other issues of mutual interest.
