US creating trade mission to Azerbaijan
The US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) and the US Commercial Service started to form a US trade mission to Azerbaijan, according to a message from the USACC.
The USACC said the mission, which is to take place on November 18-20, is a response to the rapid growth and potentials of Azerbaijan.

The mission offers US companies an opportunity to explore Azerbaijani market, explore ways to increase profits and overcome barriers, build relations with leading regional industry experts, government officials and global companies, and identify prospective partners, customers, agents and distributors.

The mission is open to US companies, investors, consultants specializing in the field of agriculture, banking and financial services, chemicals and petrochemicals, education, energy, food industry, health care, telecommunications and IT, infrastructure and construction, light industry, machinery, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics, tourism.

Applications for participation in it are accepted until October 30.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United States in January-July 2015 increased by 7.7 percent in annual terms, up to $877.07 million, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan. Compared with the same period last year, the import of the US goods to Azerbaijan increased by 1.67 times, while the export of Azerbaijani goods decreased by 1.69 times.
