The work is under completion in the trestle platforms No 187, 290 and 350, the statement said.

"The coating on the deepwater jackets No 3, 5 and 11 was also repaired,” the statement said.

“A cargo bridge, trestle platform No 2223 and a platform of the auto transport department in the Oil Rocks field, trestle platform No 340 and deepwater jackets No 340 and 620 in Bank of Darwin field, coating of the foundation No11 in the Bank Absheron field were overhauled. The corrosion-resistant steel sheets, girders, metal structures, reinforced concrete slabs and metal railings were also replaced."

SOCAR includes production associations: Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (the chemical industry enterprises) and Azerigas (gas distribution).

SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. It has two oil refineries on its balance sheet, and also owns filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.

SOCAR is also a co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex, Petkim.
