President Aliyev: Azerbaijan has resolved the Karabakh conflict and there is no need for OSCE MG

Azerbaijan does not need any support from the OSCE Minsk Group, which could not achieve any results for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, said Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev at the opening of the IX Global Baku Forum on “Challenges to the global world order” on June 16.

Azerbaijani President highlighted the impossibility of a meeting of the three co-chairs of the OSCE MG, particularly after the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"We have already received messages that the MG co-chairs will not continue their work. Therefore, I want to state our position that if there is any speculation about the operation of the Minsk Group in Armenia or in any other country, this can only aggravate the ties with Azerbaijan. We have resolved the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without getting any help from the OSCE MG. The Madrid Principles developed by them have also been implemented. Today we need to only think about the ways how to normalize relations with Armenia and sign a peace deal," Aliyev added.
