The Institute of Development and Diplomacy (IDD), the State Oil Company (SOCAR), BP Azerbaijan, Colin, Masdar and Total Energies jointly organize the event.
Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, director of the Institute of Development and Diplomacy, vice-rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilzade, deputy director of IDD Aygun Hajiyeva, Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs of BP Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli spoke at the opening ceremony.
Pashayev reminded the Baku Summer Energy School has been held every year since 2007. He said that this year's summer school's primary focus will be renewable energy sources.
"This event is a great opportunity for foreign participants to get more information about Azerbaijan's energy policy," Pashayev emphasized.
42 people from 12 countries are participating in the event.
