Ali Hasanov: The state is trying to keep exchange rate of manat stable
I think that the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan is stable, civil society initiatives are quite active. There is an atmosphere of dialogue and mutual understanding between socio-political institutions. I hope this year`s elections will be held in the same atmosphere, Ali Hasanov the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on social-political affairs told one local televisions.
According to him, the main criterion for elections in the country is the Azerbaijani voters, the people of Azerbaijan.
"We conduct the elections at the request of the people. The people elect their attorney, the president and chairman of the municipality, which is the body of government. And at each elections we primarily rely on the opinion and the will of the position of the people," Ali Hasanov said.
Hasanov also spoke about the processes taking place lately in the foreign exchange market:
"As far as we have not tried to develop the economy, politics, social life, financial stability and other issues of Azerbaijan free of the international community, and reduce them to addiction, whether we like it or not, our country, as part of the global world can not avoid these processes. So, of course, we understand the excitement that arose recently around the currency.
We understand and appreciate the efforts of citizens to preserve their funds or financial investments. State responsibilities consist of helping every citizen to save their money.
Administration of the President shared the concern of every citizen. The policy of Mr.President based on the will and interests of the citizens of Azerbaijan. A red thread of Mr.President`s speech was: "I wish Azerbaijan not to have any problems, that every citizen has the opportunity to lead a decent life. Such processes do not happen spontaneously."
Ali Hasanov said that currently the Azerbaijani state has made every effort to protect the interests of citizens, as well as the National Bank and its structures:
"I believe that there is no reason to rush. The Azerbaijani government is trying to keep the manat stable, and it is not related to the election. Manat is one of our national symbols, state attributes. The devaluation of manat is also considered as devalution of our country! Therefore, we try to keep the stability of the national currency and, I hope, it will be so!".
