Azerbaijan, Jordan eye expanding tourism cooperation

Information tours for the purpose of familiarization and exchange of experience in the field of tourism can be organized between Azerbaijan and Jordan for tourism companies, AzVision.az reports citing Azerbaijan Association of Travel Agencies.

This issue was discussed in a business meeting held between the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the institution Goydeniz Kahramanov, Jordanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sami Asem Ghosheh, and Marketing Director of the Jordanian Tourism Board Ahmad Al-Hmoud.

The meeting focused on the expansion of mutual cooperation between the tourism organizations of the two countries, the organization of informative tours for tourism companies, and the exchange of experience in tourism.

Noting that Jordan is interesting for Azerbaijani travelers as an attractive tourist destination in terms of history and architecture, Gahramanov said that the Association is ready to support the development of relations with the Kingdom in the field of tourism. He expressed hope that the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan from Jordan will increase in the near future within the framework of joint cooperation.

The ambassador said that his country is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan and that they are ready to work together in tourism, and noted that Jordan has wide opportunities in terms of recreation, religious and medical tourism. He also mentioned the importance of organizing direct flights and said that this would have a positive effect on the tourism of the two countries in the future.

At the meeting, it was decided to continue these format meetings aimed at the development and promotion of the tourism sector of the two countries.
