“Zangilan is one of the liberated districts most affected by the destructions. The restoration and reconstruction works in Zangilan are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals”, said Special Representative of Azerbaijani President in Zangilan Vahid Hajiyev as he highlighted the ongoing and planned projects in the district during the conference in Shusha.
The Special Representative noted that the Great Return is already underway in Zangilan, with the “Smart village” project being successfully implemented in the district. He noted that 200 houses have already built in Zangilan’s Aghali village, with 150 more to be constructed.
Saying that the construction of Zangilan International Airport is underway, Hajiyev pointed out Zangilan’s potential as a destination for ecotourism and agrotourism, as well as the use of solar energy in the district, adding that this will help to provide electricity to the district without damaging the nature of the region.
