St. Petersburg intends to attract more tourists from Azerbaijan

St. Petersburg is interested in increasing the number of tourists from Azerbaijan, Director of the City Tourist Information Bureau of St. Petersburg Yuri Bogdanov said at the "Welcome to St. Petersburg!" roadshow in Baku, AzVision.az reports. 

Bogdanov said that St. Petersburg and Baku have long-standing relations, and the flow of Azerbaijani tourists to his city is growing.

"Tourists from St. Petersburg love Baku very much," Bogdanov said, noting that the capital of Azerbaijan continues to get prettier every year.

He stated that the city authorities are taking various steps to increase the number of tourists visiting St. Petersburg.

According to Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov, Azerbaijan ranks 14th among the tourist destinations with the largest number of tourists.

"The Government of the Russian Federation pays great attention to tourism development in the country, and St. Petersburg is a magnet attracting tourists," he noted.
