There will definitely be a rail line connecting Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan which will pass through the territory that existed before the Patriotic War, Adalat Verdiyev, a military expert told AzVision.az.
Verdiyev also commented on his visit to Khudafarin adding that he shared a video and post about the rapid progress of the construction of the railway: "The highway to Nakhchivan is still being discussed, but Azerbaijan keeps building the part of that road that passes through our territory".
"If Armenia will enable Azerbaijan to have a road, not only a corridor, to connect with Nakhchivan, the alternative Lachin road will be functioning at the same status. But in any case, there will not be any barriers to the connection between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan. On the other hand, Armenians may have some obstacles in having a road to connect with Khankendi", he noted.
He also highlighted that defeated Armenia's commitment to unhindered access between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan is reflected in the Joint Statement, and it is impossible for Yerevan to evade this condition.
"If Armenia fails to comply with this obligation, it can be assessed by Azerbaijan as a withdrawal of Yerevan from the terms of the Joint Statement. In another word, this evasion can make history repeat itself as it was on November 9, 2020, when the Armenian army withdrew from 72 villages. There is no need to explain what kind of outcome this sitation may have for the shattered Armenian military and the Armenian Armed Forces in Karabakh", he added.
