The visit of the delegation headed by the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Shixin Chen has begun, AzVision.az reports.

During the visit, which will last until September 15, high-ranking guests are scheduled to meet with officials from the government's economic bloc.

The main purpose of the visit is to observe ADB's activities, better study the country's development requirements, and hold consultations on the main directions of the Country Partnership Strategy to be prepared in 2023.

Within the framework of the visit, the vice president will go to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Eugene Zhukov, the bank's general director who accompanied Chen on the trip, will also visit the liberated Aghdam district.

Azerbaijan was accepted as a member on December 22, 1999, and received nearly $5 billion from ADB through loans, guarantees, and technical support grants for more than 80 projects.
