On December 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev awarded bp's Regional President Gary Jones the "Dostlug" Order (the Order of Friendship), AzVision.az reports.
The award was presented at the ceremony of launching the support block of the "Azeri-Central-East" platform at the Baku Deep Water Plant named after Heydar Aliyev.
"You have been awarded due to your significant contribution to the development of Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry, your friendship and the fact that you are a good citizen of Azerbaijan. You are almost our citizen and you understand the basic needs of our people. I am pleased to reward you for visiting Shusha with us and for the work done by all your staff. The award was announced on September 19, but I was waiting for the opportunity and I think today is a great day. I present this order to you in front of this huge facility", President Aliyev said.
