During the meeting, Deputy FM Elio Eduardo Rodriguez Perdomo noted that the Cuban government hails the decision of Azerbaijan to establish an embassy in this country. He congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment and wished him success in his future diplomatic activities.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the continuation of the positive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Cuba in both bilateral and multilateral formats, especially within the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the prospects for development of relations in economic, medical, educational, tourism and other fields.
