5.2 magnitude jolts Romania

At 16.58 local time, a strong M 5.2 earthquake was recorded near Targu Jiu, Gorj province, in western Romania, AzVision.az reports citing ANSA.

The shock, which occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers, was followed twenty minutes later by a weaker aftershock (M 3). Civil protection and firefighters have stated that there are currently no victims or material damages.
