Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, of the Pakistan Research Centre for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) called on the international community to make Armenia refrain from firing on the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, AzVision.az reports.

"We have seen this firing not only for the first time but has been happening for the last 2 years The Armenian leadership has been lying to the International Community and also to their own people. Armenia has not been adhering to any kind of peace agreement. I call on the European Union and United Nations to wake up and play their role", Akram noted.

Akram also commented on the United Nations' role in the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan:" The United Nations has not been playing any kind of positive role ever since this war had started between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Although a few countries of the European Union tried to play their role, Armenia has not been listening to them."

He also delivered his sympathies to the families of the martyred Azerbaijani families and stated that every Pakistani is standing with the Azerbaijani people and with the Azerbaijani Army.

On April 11, the units of the Armenian Armed Forces located in the positions in the direction of the Digh settlement of the Gorus district opened fire at the Azerbaijan Army's opposing positions stationed in the direction of the Lachin district. As a result, Azerbaijan Army's servicemen Zalov Vidadi Nizami, Hasanov Elshad Gabil and Taghiyev Sabuhi Gunduz became Shehids (Martyrs) during the suppression of the Armenian provocation.
