Relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union continue to develop robustly, the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said at a meeting with journalists on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, AzVision.az reports.
Michalko noted that the EU supports pluralism and freedom of the press.
He added that the development of media and journalism is one of the areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU.
World Press Freedom Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in December 1993. Since then, every year on May 3, the anniversary of the adoption of the Windhoek Declaration, events dedicated to this day have been held around the world.
