Heydar Aliyev Foundation launches new project in Italy
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has started a new project to further popularize Azerbaijan in the regions of Italy. Supported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the first event under the project was held in Florence, which is considered one of the cultural centers of the country.
Azerbaijani masters of art once again demonstrated to the Italian audience the richness of Azerbaijan`s culture.

Opening of the project supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was held at the Municipal Theatre of Florence. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Vagif Sadigov stressed the importance of the project in terms of further expansion of the Azerbaijan-Italy relations, which, he noted, `are dynamically developing thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries, in particular in the field of culture`.

The Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra after Gara Garayev performed an interesting concert program for the Italian audience.

The orchestra played works by acclaimed Azerbaijani composers, including Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Gara Garayev and Tofig Guliyev.

The event was also attended by the authorities of Florence, public figures, as well as director of the Heydar Aliyev center Anar Alakbarov.

Eugenio Giani, President of the Florence City Council, expressed gratitude to the event organizers for the “interesting show”. He said that the project would contribute to strengthening the relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, in particular between Azerbaijan and Florence.
