It became possible owing to signing a protocol on air communication between the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan and Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan as part of Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov's visit to Baku, AzVision.az reports citing Kazakh media.
The ministry said the legal framework to carry out regular flights between the countries has been expanded in line with the document.
"The expansion of the legal framework will help increase the number of performed flights between the countries, which will increase competition on the market of air transportation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and will also promote the further strengthening of trade and economic, business, trade and cultural cooperation between the countries," the ministry said.
