Azerbaijani parliamentary speaker: I feel heartbroken for scene in Europe
An awful comparison has emerged; with an area of 7 million square km and a population of one billion, Europe is unable to accept about 400,000 refugees. With 20 percent of its territory under occupation, Azerbaijan has been sheltering more than a million refugees for about 25 years. But when they speak, they blow their own horn,” Azerbaijani parliamentary speaker Ogtay Asadov said on Sept.14.

He noted that the scene of Europe meeting the refugees from the Middle East reminds of a concentration camp.

“It’s hard to watch [them]. I feel heartbroken. They treat the refugees in an inhumane manner. They throw the bread in a way, excuse me, as if they throw it at a dog. Is this what they call European values?,” Asadov added.
