EU approves extension of sanctions on Russia
The European Union has approved the extension of sanctions on Russia till March 2016. RIA Novosti reported.
According to the agency, the decision was taken during the meeting of the Council for General Affairs. The sanctions will apply to Russian and Ukrainian legal entities and individuals accused of violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Note that, the US and EU member states imposed sanctions against a number of Russian officials and politicians in March 2014 due to Crimea`s annexation by Russia and the conflict in the east of Ukraine. The sanctions determined the individuals banned from traveling to Europe and their bank assets were frozen.
