According to the legislation, medicines produced in any country can be imported to Azerbaijan after being registered by the Ministry of Health. “There is an increase in the number of imported medicines this year compared to same period of 2014, and there is no shortage of medicines in country,” he said.
The minister noted that under the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, negotiations are underway with well-known companies and measures are being taken in order to organize the production of pharmaceutical products in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park.
