Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hamad bin Abdullah bin Saud bin Khudair as he ended his diplomatic mission in the country.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed deep gratitude to the ambassador for his contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia and wished him success in his future activities.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation between the countries in the political, economic, energy, humanitarian, and tourism spheres. They hailed the excellent level of political relations between the two countries.
FM Bayramov praised Saudi Arabia for its support to Azerbaijan both during the occupation and after the war.
The minister highlighted the role of mutual official visits, as well as his meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister and contacts with him within the framework of international events.
The parties also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
