But it is necessary to sign an agreement on readmission in order to carry the visa facilitation agreement into effect,” Charge d`affaires of the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan Toralf Pilz told journalists. He said that the development of the readmission agreement is in the process of completion which requires some time: “The whole package will come into effect in 2014.”
Azerbaijan and the EU have already initialed an agreement on visa facilitation. The signing of the document will reduce visa fees for Azerbaijani citizens to receive a Schengen visa and facilitate the rules of visa application.
