Armenian officer complains about food quality in army

Complaints about the quality of food products in the military units of the Armenian Defence Ministry do not stop.

As AzVision.az reports, an Armenian army officer stated this in a conversation with Hraparak.

"Food is a problem everywhere. See, for example, it is written in a norm that we should get sausages. Sausages are given a little more than half a kilogram a week. And it should be divided among 11 people. How do you divide it? Half a kilo is 5-6 sausages, it turns out that each of us should eat half a sausage a week. Or they bring in canned meat. You open it up and there's pepper mush inside, without a piece of meat. Or we open a can of meat, and it is impossible to eat even one spoonful, because of the smell and taste. Recently in Kapan (Gafan - ed.) military unit we received complaints about meat and bread. We receive bread, but it goes sour on the second day," the officer complained, asking to voice his problems.

When asked by a journalist why you don't complain, he replies: "There are many complaints. Inspectors come, fix violations, and leave, but inspectors have no right to check the food at the positions, they only enter the canteen of the military unit. And everything is fine in the canteen of the military unit.”

In order to clarify this information, the staff of the newspaper asked the Armenian Defence Ministry whether they received complaints from the army. The ministry replied that they receive complaints about the quality of food, each complaint is monitored and inspections are conducted.

"Recently we received a complaint from the Khanperyants Military Aviation University. We went and checked, some things were exaggerated, but there were also problems, now they have been corrected," the ministry replied.
