"We must protect our youth from external influence."
No negative influence will be of importance in an educated, literate society. In the contemporary world, we become witnesses of some ideological wars in certain cases, implementation of special programs especially linked to youth, conduction of definite measures under pretense of globalization in different countries, which gradually lead to problems in these countries.
We must make the sustainable, successful development of Azerbaijan eternal. Today we have demonstrated our model of development to the world. The world is now speaking of Azerbaijan`s model of development.
The statement came from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his speach at the opening of school, No 148, AzVision.az reports.
He said this model relies on our independence, national values, patriotism and independent policy.
"Today the youth is aware of and sees the processes ongoing in the world. The young people are the people that are still forming and in some cases it is not that difficult to influence them. Therefore, we need to protect our youth from external influence, secure them from the so-called values that are not peculiar to us.
The levelling process continues under pretense of globalization. Some international circles seek to create the points of influence. But we have our own path. We have lived with the dream of independence throughout the centuries and today we live in an independent state.
Security, tranquility rule in the country, public order is secured, stability is observed, development is underway. Today most countries experience crisis and Azerbaijan builds such schools, lays roads and holds beautification works," Ilham Aliyev said.
