He made the remarks at an international conference entitled "Neocolonialism: Violation of Human Rights and Injustice", which is being held in Baku.
Jean-Jacob Bicep urged the international community to put an end to colonialism.
“For four centuries we have been living under the pressure of France. Our country, since the period of colonization by France, has been fighting for its rights. The French work here, and our youth suffer from unemployment. We constantly organize rallies in the name of our freedom so that we can be heard, and because of this we are put in prison. We continue to fight French colonialism. We have suffered a lot from French injustice,” he added.
The international conference was organized by the Baku Initiative Group. Officials and representatives from 14 countries, including French overseas territories, the remains of the French colonial empire, as well as Corsica are attending the conference.
