The memorandum envisages implementation of activities on promotion of Azerbaijani tourism products, development of new tourism products, online advertising, content marketing through social media, organization of online and offline events by the China Tourism Group (CTG) holding of the Chinese central government.

Another memorandum on cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and China's well-known online travel platform "Qyer.com". The document includes strategic partnership to be implemented in the areas of joint content creation, brand promotion, media promotion and data-based analysis and research.

Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Florian Sengstschmid pointed out that the memorandums would contribute to the increase in the number of Chinese citizens visiting Azerbaijan, noting China's great potential for outbound tourism.

Addressing the signing ceremony of the tripartite memorandum, First Deputy Executive Director of "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC Nazim Samadov stressed that the airline plans to launch flights to China's capital Beijing from December.

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board also organized the country’s national stand with the participation of "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC and 9 local tourism industry representatives at the China Foreign Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) exhibition.

Last week, Shanghai hosted the presentation of the "China Ready" program, which aims to make Azerbaijan a preferred tourist destination for Chinese travelers and ensure the readiness of the tourism industry to receive Chinese tourists.

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a series of promotional events in the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu on November 9-13, to expand the awareness of the Chinese tourism industry about Azerbaijan and strengthen the country's participation in the Chinese market.
