Another disinformation: Details of Armenia’s anti-Azerbaijani campaign

To mislead an international audience, four Armenian authors claiming to be “independent” have disseminated falsified information about the construction of an alleged concentration camp for Armenians by Azerbaijan. Their “evidence” was limited to a few photos, which, in their opinion, confirm the existence of such camps.

This publication was another example of absurd narratives created by Armenian propagandists, who traditionally resort to made-up stories to promote their views. This time they went further, presenting dubious photos as “evidence.” However, anyone knowledgeable about the regional situation is aware of Azerbaijan's rapid efforts to rebuild its territories destroyed in recent decades. In their statements, the Armenian authors referred to general phrases about “genocide” and “blockades”, while acknowledging possible errors in their conclusions.

However, it is important to take into account that at the time of publication of these statements, a UN mission was working in Karabakh and did not register any violations. Contrary to criticism, the UN strives to avoid scandals and irrefutable accusations, so its reports can be considered reliable. If such camps really existed in Karabakh, the UN mission would certainly have witnessed this.

It is important to emphasize the absurdity of the idea of building concentration camps. Why should Azerbaijan create such institutions when it is actively taking steps towards peace? The recent exchange of 32 Armenian soldiers for two Azerbaijani soldiers reaffirms Baku’s desire for peace and cooperation. Such actions contradict the logic of creating concentration camps and indicate Azerbaijan’s desire to follow the path of restoring relations and strengthening trust.

These contradictory narratives by Armenian authors become another example of their propaganda strategy aimed at creating a negative image of Azerbaijan. They ignore the real efforts and achievements made in the region and continue to spread unfounded stories. However, given Azerbaijan's actions on a global scale, especially in the context of prisoner exchanges, it becomes obvious that their stories do not correspond to reality.

Thus, we are faced with a choice: to believe the dubious statements of several Armenian authors or to trust the conclusions of an international organization with an impeccable reputation. Time has shown that the attempts of Armenian propagandists to put pressure on Azerbaijan were ineffective, and their strategy of spreading false information does not resonate with the world community, especially among those who have critical thinking and are not inclined to blindly accept unconfirmed data. Events such as prisoner swaps are significant indicators of the intentions and actions of states, which are much more powerful than the unconfirmed and dubious stories spread by propagandists.
