Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments, Elchin Amirbayov has been interviewed by "Brussels Signal" radio, AzVision.az reports.
During the interview, Amirbayov underlined that Armenia has to respect the commitments that it has undertaken: "One of the commitments preceding from the trilateral ceasefire agreement, which was signed in November, 2020 by Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, they have agreed to provide this linkage between two parts of Azerbaijan. Because in such a way, it will put an end to its isolated status of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. So, we don't have any territorial claims to Armenia. We don't want to force this corridor by military means. We want Armenia to understand the benfits of the linkage. This corridor is not only linkage between two parts of Azerbaijan, but also can become one of the pivotal elements of alternative middle corridor."
He said that today Armenia is completely isolated from any regional economic projects becaus of its conflict with Azerbaijan and unsettled issues with Turkiye.
"What we want is to make it a win-win situation. Armenia can also benefit from peace. If they don't want to realize the benefits of it, we will not push for that," Amirbayov added.
