UAE declares three days of mourning
The United Arab Emirates has declared a three-day period of mourning after the son of Dubai
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum died aged 33, the UAE’s state news agency, WAM, reported.

Sheikh Rashid was the first son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and vice-president and prime minister of the UAE. He was a keen sportsman and horse racing enthusiast and, along with his father, a graduate of the UK’s officer training academy at Sandhurst.

His younger brother, Sheikh Hamdan, is the crown prince of Dubai.
