Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation holds meeting on development of Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation held official meetings with representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of the Foundation's member countries and experts on the development of the "Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention," AzVision.az reports. 

For the first time in the history of the Foundation's activities, the two-day meetings were held at the headquarters of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation at the level of representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of the founding countries, experts in the field of heritage, as well as project managers and research experts of the organization.

Within the framework of the meetings, sessions were held with the participation of expert groups, proposals were put forward for the preparation of the "Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention," and the tasks set by the heads of Turkic states to the Turkic Cooperation Organizations and outlined in the "TURKTIME" program document were discussed.

Opening the meeting, the president of the Foundation, Aktoty Raimkulova, welcomed the participants and informed them about the agenda of the meeting. She stressed that within the framework of the "Turkic World Vision 2040," the work entrusted to the Foundation on the implementation of the "Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention" has already begun.

The agenda of the meeting included issues related to the preparation of the Convention, consideration of the Foundation's Activity Plan for the next two years, and the creation, under the Foundation. of an Advisory Council of Restorers and Turkic World Architectural Historians.

Then the participants were shown a presentation of the draft "Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention." Representatives of government agencies, expert groups and staff of the Foundation exchanged views on improving the document and on issues of mutual interest.

Productive work was also carried out on the creation of the Foundation's Council and the preparation of the "Turkic Cultural Heritage Convention." Online and bilateral meetings were regularly held with the expert group established by the Foundation to improve the Convention, and then the conclusions were submitted to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of the organization's member countries.

The meeting also considered a detailed two-year Action Plan of the Foundation based on applications from the organization's member countries and proposals from project managers, including projects to promote, protect, and restore the rich heritage of the Turkic world.

Over the course of two days, the meetings were accompanied by speeches, mutual discussions, and proposals.

It should be noted that such coordination meetings will continue to be held by the Foundation to make agreed decisions.
