  Azerbaijani tourism to recover to pre-pandemic levels by end of 2024

Azerbaijani tourism will reach the figures of 2019 by the end of the year thus completing the process of tourism recovery, the Chief of Staff of Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency Kanan Gasimov told journalists, AzVision.az reports.

The official noted that the main goal in all cases is to increase the number of tourists: "Therefore, we need to implement various projects. Huge work is being done to eliminate seasonality, which is one of the biggest difficulties related to tourism in Azerbaijan, and to create new tourism products."

Gasimov also pointed out the great potential in Azerbaijan for medical tourism: "At the same time, projects related to the development of medical tourism are being implemented in Azerbaijan. Along with these, promoting investments in tourism and developing subsidy mechanisms for tourists brought to the country, increasing flights to the country and ensuring the availability of services serious steps are being taken in the direction of making it."
