The archbishop addressed his supporters, stating, "We will stay here, settle in our cars, and set up tents. The police have blocked Demirchyan Street, and we will block Baghramyan Avenue."
Galstanyan also had a message for the police, who had blocked the opposition movement's march to the parliament building on Sunday. He noted that the protesters "are not the kind who get tired," implying that law enforcement officers would have to patrol the city streets day and night. The archbishop called on people throughout Armenia to join the demonstration in the morning, as participants spent the night in tents on Baghramyan Avenue near the parliament building.
