UK ambassador congratulates Azerbaijani media reps on National Press Day

UK Ambassador to Baku Fergus Auld took to his social media account on X to extend warm wishes to Azerbaijani media professionals on National Press Day, AzVision.az reports.

In his message, the diplomat underscored the vital role of a free and objective press in fostering a thriving society.

"I congratulate all Azerbaijani media workers on National Press Day," Ambassador Auld wrote. "A free and objective press is one of the main pillars of a prosperous society. The United Kingdom remains committed to safeguarding media freedom worldwide, even in these challenging times."
