According to the preliminary version, the servicemen died on July 30 while off duty, poisoned while swimming in sulfurous, carbonated thermal waters.
“The discovery of the corpses of Azerbaijani Army servicemen, including captain Asif Emnaliyev, warrant officer Farid Jabrayilov, and sergeants Tural Samadov and Emin Shahmarli, has been verified.
The Ministry of Defense's leadership extends its sincerest condolences to the deceased servicemen's families and associates," the ministry said.
