The US Embassy has expressed condolences over the death of four Azerbaijani servicemen, AzVision.az reports citing the embassy's X publication.
"The U.S. Embassy expresses its sincerest condolences to the loved ones, friends, and colleagues who are mourning the tragic loss this week of four off-duty Azerbaijani servicemen," the publication said.
To note, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense verified the discovery of corpses of the Azerbaijani Army servicemen - captain Asif Emnaliyev, warrant officer Farid Jabrayilov, and sergeants Tural Samadov and Emin Shahmarli, who, according to the preliminary version, poisoned while swimming in sulfurous, carbonated thermal waters on July 30 while off duty in the Lachin district.
