Elshan Mammadov was martyred and three other Azerbaijani servicemen received slight shrapnel wounds as Armenia used large-caliber weapons, including 82-mm launchers.
The wounded soldiers received first medical aid, their state is assessed as satisfactory.
The Defense Ministry expresses deep condolences to the relatives of the deceased and wished them patience. Sources in the Defense Ministry said that martyr’s death will not remain unanswered.
The Azerbaijani armed forces took retaliatory measures against the enemy, applying force.
Four Armenian soldiers were killed and 16 wounded as a result of missile artillery strikes dealt on the enemy. Of them, 10 are in a hard state.
Azerbaijani armed forces fully control the operative situation along the frontline and prevent all the enemy’s actions with even stronger strikes.
The Defense Ministry states once again that Armenia’s military and political leadership bears the whole responsibility for worsening of situation on the front line.
