Azerbaijani-Malaysian think tanks explore widening relations

Deputy President of the Senate of Malaysian Parliament Nur Jazlan Bin Mohamed visited Azerbaijan`s Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).

During the meeting, AIR Center`s head of department Vasif Huseynov informed the Malaysian delegation about the center`s activities and strategies.

Highlighting Armenia`s arming, Vasif Huseynov underlined that the campaign carried out by France poses a serious threat to not only the region but also to the entire international security architecture. He noted that France strives to use Armenian-Azerbaijani relations as a tool against Russia.

Touching on the efficient cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia within the Non-Aligned Movement, Vasif Huseynov also touched upon Azerbaijan`s contributions to institutional development of the organization.

He provided information on Azerbaijan’s reconstruction and restoration projects in Karabakh.

Recalling his previous visits to Azerbaijan, the Deputy President of the Senate Nur Jazlan Bin Mohamed hailed the ongoing large-scale projects in Karabakh.

He expressed his country`s eagerness to widen relations with Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries, adding that the inter-parliamentary relations would play a key role in these ties.

Nur Jazlan Mohamed also underscored that the snap parliamentary elections were held in an orderly and transparent manner on September 1.

The sides then explored the widening relations between the two countries` think tanks and other issues of mutual interest.
