EU foreign ministers are set to convene via video conference on September 30 afternoon to discuss the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
The agenda will focus on the aftermath of Israel's assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on September 27, along with subsequent Israeli air strikes across Lebanon, as outlined in a statement from EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, AzVision.az reports citing the foreign media.
Despite Iran's support for Hezbollah, the Iranian government has not rushed to retaliate against Israel for Nasrallah's death.
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian refrained from committing to a direct and immediate response during his international address at the United Nations last week, where he moderated his tone.
