Italy-based Opinione pubblica website has published an article highlighting Azerbaijan-Italy energy ties and strategic importance of the country.
The article also highlights Chief Executive Officer of Italy`s Snam Company Carlo Malacarne`s meetings held as part of his visit to Baku.
The article hails Azerbaijan`s importance as a European gas supplier.
A number of European companies, including Italy show great interest in energy projects of which Azerbaijan is the initiator and participant country, the article says.
The article highlights Italy`s Snam Company CEO Carlo Malacarne`s meeting with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the issues and ideas discussed during the meeting.
The article also highlights Memorandum of Understanding signed between SOCAR and Snam on the assessment of initiatives for developing cooperation of South Gas Corridor as the new key route of flow of gas to Europe.
