The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the World Bank (WB) have discussed preparations for a new Country Partnership Agreement for Azerbaijan and its strategic directions, CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov shared in a post on his X page, AzVision.az reports

The publication notes that he met with Antonella Bassan, the World Bank's Vice President for Europe and Central Asia.

"During our meeting, we discussed the work on preparing the new Country Partnership Agreement for Azerbaijan and the strategic areas it will encompass. We also highlighted the significant contribution of projects implemented by the World Bank to the priorities and development plans of our country.

Additionally, we explored opportunities for expanding cooperation between the Central Bank and the World Bank," the publication reads.

To note, the World Bank became one of our key partners in implementing reforms in the early years of Azerbaijan's independence. Over more than 30 years of successful cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the World Bank, the Bank has provided Azerbaijan with 49 completed and three ongoing government loans for 52 projects totaling more than $4 billion.
