Samed Seyidov elected as a new vice president of PACE
Today the meeting of the Monitoring Committee(MC) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe(PACE) has been held within the fall session of the organisation and the elections for the new president has been conducted, AzVision.az reports.

Head of the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE Samad Seyidov has been elected as a new deputy president of the Monitoring Committee.

Samed Seyidov said, it was a result of trust on Azerbaijan:

I was nominated to this post by the fraction of European Conservatives .At the same time, it was a result of my long time work in this Committee. As you already know, I am a speakers on Serbia and has been working for 15 years in the body.In my opinion, especially when it comes to MC, it was a result of trust on Azerbaijani nation. Moreover, it should be noted ,monitoring the elections in European countries is a direct responsibility of PACE”.
