EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso, First Vice President Jurgen Rigterink, Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman, and Managing Director for Climate Strategy and Delivery Harry Boyd-Carpenter will participate in the conference.
"This year's event will focus on accelerating climate action through climate financing, with particular attention to mobilizing the private sector," the bank stated.
Within the framework of COP29, EBRD along with other international financial institutions and organizations plans to organize 11 different thematic events dedicated to fighting climate change and decarbonization.
The bank noted that EBRD remains committed to promoting green development, sustainability, and innovation. To this end, EBRD is active in international efforts to combat climate change, mobilize private finance, and achieve systemic changes across all regions where it operates.
"EBRD strives to ensure that at least half of the bank's business is green. Last year, the bank's green financing reached 6.5 billion euros. The bank is a leader in climate financing," the bank emphasized.
