Azerbaijan’s energy minister holds several meetings on sidelines of COP29

Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, held on Friday a number of meetings on the margins of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

During the meeting with Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma, the sides exchanged views on oil supply, the participation of Azerbaijani companies in renewable energy projects. They also exchanged views on cooperation opportunities regarding the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor.

The meeting with Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan, highlighted the cooperation opportunities in the fields of oil and gas and oil refining.

“We discussed the full-scale development of the Absheron gas-condensate field and solar-wind energy projects with a total capacity of 500 MW intended for export with Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of Total Energies,” Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X.
