The United Nations (UN) has called on all parties involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict to take urgent steps to prevent further escalation. The plea comes amid heightened tensions following Russia's launch of the "Oreshnik" missile, a move described by UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric as "yet another alarming and worrying development," AzVision.az reports.
Dujarric emphasized the UN's desire for the conflict to be resolved in accordance with international law and the territorial integrity of nations. He urged both Moscow and Kyiv to refrain from striking civilian targets or critical infrastructure, and to ensure the safety of peaceful populations.
