Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission forms expert group regarding upcoming municipal elections

Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission forms expert group regarding upcoming municipal elections

Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has established a nine-member expert group tasked with investigating cases of action or inaction that may violate citizens’ voting rights, as well as addressing appeals related to decisions concerning the upcoming municipal elections.

CEC Secretary Arifa Mukhtarova announced the formation of the group during a meeting on Wednesday. The municipal elections are scheduled for January 29, 2025.
