Azerbaijan, Jordan consider establishing joint working group in agricultural sector

Azerbaijan and Jordan discussed the creation of a joint working group in the agricultural sector, AzVision.az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture.

Minister Majnun Mammadov met with Jordan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Omar Barakat Al Nahar. Mammadov stated that the close friendly relations between the two countries allow for developing cooperation in the agricultural sector, as in all other areas. Informing the ambassador about state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan, the minister noted that his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Jordan in the agricultural sector.

The parties discussed strengthening the legal and contractual framework in the agricultural sector between Azerbaijan and Jordan, establishing a joint working group in the agricultural sector between the two countries, increasing trade turnover of agricultural and food products, participation of Jordanian entrepreneurs in the Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition (Caspian Agro) and other issues. It was emphasized that there is great potential for expanding mutual relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector.
