The move comes as part of an investigation into possible charges of rebellion against the president, AzVision.az reports, citing AP.
The main opposition Democratic Party has labeled President Yoon's brief imposition of martial law as "unconstitutional, illegal rebellion, and a coup." The party has filed complaints with the police against at least nine individuals, including the president and the former defense minister.
While the head of state typically enjoys immunity from prosecution during their term in office, this protection does not extend to charges of rebellion or treason.
